An interesting comparison between the traditional CRT and the modern LCD computer monitors. While reading this link keep in mind the following:
- The unit cost of power in remote areas is more than the .157US cents used in the table.
- The note about airconditioning would apply only to the CRT monitor which generates much more heat which airconditioning systems have to remove.
- Note also that an LCD monitor increases the time an uninterruptible power supply can power a computer system hile on battery.
